By: Maya Lovria Meet Sage: a cunning, sly, and resourceful 14-year-old orphan. He lives in Mrs. Turbeldy’s Orphanage for Disadvantaged Boys, in the kingdom of Carthya. After an escape attempt gone wrong, Sage and three other orphaned boys of about the same age learn that Conner wants to take them all for a deceitful mission that only one of them will be able to complete. Connor and his servants, Mott and Cregan, take the boys to Farthenwood, Connor’s home, where they must be trained for the purpose of his mission. In order to gain the knowledge to be able to fulfill Conner’s mission, the boys are to attend a variety of classes such as sword fighting, horse riding, etiquette, reading, writing, and the history of Carthya.
